a) CampusKino@Geiwi am 07.05.26 ab 19:30 Uhr
Am 07.05. ab 19:30 Uhr veranstaltet das Referat für Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit gemeinsam mit dem Green Office und der Transferstelle Wissenschaft – Wirtschaft – Gesellschaft ein Radlkino am GEIWI-Vorplatz.
Gezeigt wird der Film Food for Profit. Davor findet noch ein Gespräch mit Exper*innen statt.
Snacks und Drinks gibt’s natürlich auch 🙂 Da das Ganze ein Open-Air-Kino ist, zieht euch warm genug an!

b) Vernetzungsbrunch – 08.05.26 um 10:00 Uhr
Am 08.05. von 10:00 bis 12:00 Uhr organisieren das Referat für Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit gemeinsam mit dem Green Office einen veganen Vernetzungsbrunch. Der Raum ist dafür da, um sich in entspannter Atmosphäre über den Film Food for Profit vom Vorabend auszutauschen (siehe Veranstaltung: campusKino@GEIWI).
Natürlich sind auch alle herzlich willkommen, die den Film nicht gesehen haben und einfach neue Leute kennenlernen, sich über Nachhaltigkeit austauschen oder mehr über Initiativen und Veranstaltungen erfahren wollen. Es ist ein offener Raum für alle!
Wir freuen uns, wenn ihr etwas mitbringt – aber genauso einfach, wenn ihr nur vorbeikommt.:)

c) Workshop Vielfalt am 08.05.26 – GESCHLECHTLICHE UND SEXUELLE VIELFALT IM ARBEITSALLTAG
Im Workshop werden zentrale Begriffe rund um Queerness, Identität und Diskriminierung verständlich erklärt und gemeinsam diskutiert. Themen sind u. a. queer, cis, trans, nicht-binär, Intergeschlechtlichkeit sowie Unterschiede zwischen sexueller und romantischer Orientierung. Die Fortbildung bietet Raum für Input, Selbstreflexion und Austausch mit Bezug zu Schule und psychosozialen Arbeitsfeldern.

2) Die neue Ausgabe der UNIpress ist da!
Ja, nein, vielleicht? Diesmal keine Auswahlmöglichkeiten auf einem zerknitterten Zettel mit der Überschrift ´Willst du mit mir zusammen sein?´, sondern der Titel unserer neuen Ausgabe! Darin beschäftigt sich die UNIpress-Redaktion mit Entscheidungen in allen Größen.

3) IFFI – das Filmfestival
Vom 2. bis 7. Juni findet die bereits 35. Ausgabe des IFFI – International Film Festival Innsbruck statt. An diesen sechs Tagen sind mehr als 70 Lang- und Kurzfilme aus aller Welt im Leokino und Cinematograph zu sehen. Das vielfältige Programm umfasst preisgekrönte Festivalfilme ebenso wie spannende Neuentdeckungen und legt einen Fokus auf unabhängige Produktionen.
Ab 5. Mai ist das Programm online unter https://iffi.at abrufbar. Ebenfalls ab 5. Mai gibt es im ÖH-Sekretariat kostenlose Gutscheine. Damit kannst du Tickets einfach an den Kinokassen zum ermäßigten Preis von nur 5 Euro kaufen.

4) Studienbeihilfe
Nur mit einem Antrag kann dein Rechtsanspruch offiziell geprüft werden. Ein Antrag lohnt sich IMMER!
Wichtig: Stelle deinen Antrag rechtzeitig für das Sommersemester 2026. Die Frist läuft vom 20. Februar bis zum 15. Mai 2026.

5) Aktiv gegen HPV
Die zweite HPV-Impfung ist in Österreich für alle unter 30 Jahren kostenlos – aber nur noch befristet bis zum 30.06.2026. Nütze also jetzt noch die Gelegenheit!
Am 18. Mai 2026 macht das ÖGGK von 9-17:30 Uhr an der Uni Innsbruck Station und bietet eine unkomplizierte, kostenlose Zweitimpfung ohne Voranmeldung!

1. Our events in May
a. campusKino@GEIWI – May 7th from 7:30 PM
On May 7th starting at 7:30 PM, the Department for Environment and Sustainability, together with the Green Office and the Transfer Office for Science-Economy-Society, is hosting a bike-powered cinema (Radlkino) at the GEIWI forecourt.
The film Food for Profit will be shown. Before the screening, there will be a discussion with experts.
Snacks and drinks will of course be provided 🙂 Since this is an open-air cinema, make sure to dress warmly!

b. Networking Brunch – May 8th at 10:00 AM
On May 8th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Department for Environment and Sustainability, together with the Green Office, is organizing a vegan networking brunch. The space is meant for relaxed conversations about the film Food for Profit from the previous evening (see event: campusKino@GEIWI).
Of course, everyone is warmly welcome-even if you haven’t seen the film and simply want to meet new people, talk about sustainability, or learn more about initiatives and events. It’s an open space for everyone!
We’d love it if you bring something along-but you’re just as welcome to drop by without anything 🙂

c. Diversity Workshop on 08.05.26
The workshop introduces and discusses key concepts related to queerness, identity, and discrimination. Topics include queer, cis, trans, non-binary, and intersex, as well as the differences between sexual and romantic orientation. It also addresses questions such as: How can I communicate and act respectfully? How do I deal with queerphobia? What is my role in educational or professional contexts?
The training offers space for input, self-reflection, and exchange, with a focus on schools and psychosocial fields.

2. The new edition of UNIpress is here!
Yes, no, maybe? This time, these aren´t options on a crumpled note asking ´Do you want to go out with me?´, but the title of our new issue!
The UNIpress editorial team explores decisions of all sizes: from choosing a degree and shopping habits to break-ups and abortion.
We are currently busy distributing the copies across various university locations. They are completely free for everyone. Be among the first to read it! Because one thing is for sure: reading UNIpress is always a good decision 😉

3. IFFI – International Film Festival
From June 2nd to 7th, the 35th edition of the IFFI (International Film Festival Innsbruck) takes place. More than 70 feature films and shorts from all over the world will be shown at Leokino and Cinematograph.
Program: Available online at https://iffi.at starting May 5th.
Discount Vouchers: Starting May 5th, you can get free vouchers at the ÖH office. These allow you to buy tickets at the cinema box office for only 5 Euros.

5. Active against HPV
At least 80% of all sexually active people will be infected with Human Papillomavirus (HPV) at some point in their lives, which can cause various diseases, including cancer. However, there is a vaccine that offers protection.
The second HPV vaccination is free in Austria for everyone under 30 – but only until 30.06.2026.
On May 18th, 2026 (9 AM – 5:30 PM), the ÖGGK Health-Mobil will stop at the University of Innsbruck to offer uncomplicated, free second vaccinations without prior appointment!
